Ceiling antenna

The antenna has a two-element patch-type design that provides an asymmetric directional pattern to overlap the width of the passageway in the transverse direction while reducing radiation in the direction of the passageway, which reduces the possible spurious registration of RFID tags outside the control zone.

The antenna is mounted above the registration area in a suitable way (racks, suspension on cables) with the orientation of the working side down to the control area (the long side of the body along the passage). The effective registration zone is a cone-shaped area under the antenna.

The size of the registration zone depends on the design of the RFID tags used, the installed capacity of the reader, and the physical properties of third-party objects located near the registration zone, and is determined experimentally in each case. Note that the length of the registration zone along the long side of the antenna is approximately half as long as the length of the registration zone along the short side of the antenna. The most effective registration of a radio frequency RFID tag occurs when it is located directly under the antenna.

The antenna is connected to an RFID reader (or switch) using a 50 Ohm coaxial cable.

First of all, the TwinTag RFID tag is intended for marking fur coats and other fur products; it is integrated into the KiZ. This RFID tag was developed specifically for the “Marking” System project as a tag for integration into the KiZ, which mark fur coats and other fur products.

RST-Invent engineers provided for the possibility of installing various models of UHF chips on the RFID tag, which ensures the uninterrupted production cycle, delivery of tags to customers, and expands the range of tag applications.
