RFID antennas – RST Invent http://www.rst-invent.com RFID tags and equipment Thu, 13 Feb 2020 11:11:42 +0000 en-GB hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=5.6.13 http://www.rst-invent.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/favicon.png RFID antennas – RST Invent http://www.rst-invent.com 32 32 RST-TEAM-POINT-001 http://www.rst-invent.com/product/rst-team-point-001/ Fri, 20 Sep 2019 15:46:46 +0000 http://rst-invent.com/?post_type=product&p=1356 Ceiling antenna

The antenna has a two-element patch-type design that provides an asymmetric directional pattern to overlap the width of the passageway in the transverse direction while reducing radiation in the direction of the passageway, which reduces the possible spurious registration of RFID tags outside the control zone.

The antenna is mounted above the registration area in a suitable way (racks, suspension on cables) with the orientation of the working side down to the control area (the long side of the body along the passage). The effective registration zone is a cone-shaped area under the antenna.

The size of the registration zone depends on the design of the RFID tags used, the installed capacity of the reader, and the physical properties of third-party objects located near the registration zone, and is determined experimentally in each case. Note that the length of the registration zone along the long side of the antenna is approximately half as long as the length of the registration zone along the short side of the antenna. The most effective registration of a radio frequency RFID tag occurs when it is located directly under the antenna.

The antenna is connected to an RFID reader (or switch) using a 50 Ohm coaxial cable.

The antenna is connected to an RFID reader (or switch) using a 50 Ohm coaxial cable. The antenna is available in two versions: with a sealed cable entry for the RG-58 coaxial cable (RT-A-900-6.1) or RG-8 (RST-A-900-6.2).

The antenna is fixed in the gate openings or in other identification points with the front part of the case to the identification zone.

The antenna housing has mounting holes for mounting it with M4 screws.

  • the special casing design, which limits the area of the registration marks
  • registration of tags in conditions of their dense placement
  • registration of labels in difficult conditions (presence of metal parts and liquids in the composition of identifiable objects)
